The software "Midi Utility" can be capable Fully Automatic Control external MIDI devices (X6 only), such as Yamaha Portatone (PSR-1500, PSR-2100,...), Korg, Roland, Sound Module, Backing Module,...
You can create an accompaniment for your tunes in a few seconds.
Those MIDI devices will be controlled by "Midi Utility", and so they can:
- Automatic do Intro (A,B,C,D)
- Automatic select Main (A,B,C,D)
- Automatic do Fill in (AA, BB, CC, DD, Break)
- Automatic change Chords (Cool!)
- Automatic do Ending (A,B,C,D)
The "Keyboard Player" (You) can select suitable style (on the Keyboard), press "Play" button (on Midi Utility X6), and enjoy the music (Cool!)

Midi Utility is designed for use: as an
Auto Accompaniment or/and Auto Music Generation System, easy to use for any user. The users do not have to have an organ
keyboard, and so they do not need to play anything on the keyboard while
making an accompaniment with Midi Utility.
Runs on: Windows all.
Midi standard: General Midi
Input for Midi Utility: an
user's midi file of any type 0 or 1. This file is use
to hold the user's input tunes with all midi control messages and
tempo changes for melody. Melody tunes can be monophonic or polyphonic.
Output (Accompaniment result):
standard midi file of type 1 (*.mid), or Midi Utility Song data (*.mus),
chord list used for accompaniment.
The channel 1 is use to hold the user's melody data, channels 2, 3, 4,
5, 6, 7, 8, 9 are used to hold automatic accompaniment data for instruments, channel 10 is use to hold automatic accompaniment data for drums.
All data on channels 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 are produced by the software Midi Utility.
Automation supported for:
key detection for input song, chord progression with unlimited number of
key change points, arrangement, intro, ending, inter-section fills, drum
fills, style switching, sustain control, accompaniment volume control for each instrument,...
all items in the automation supports, and plus style settings such as:
style data files to use for the accompaniment; GM code,
volume, accompaniment modes for each instrument in the styles used, for each
section in the song.
Current available styles:
more than 900 style data.
Maximum number of style data to use
for a song: up to 5 style data.
Maximum style switching points in
the song: unlimited (= number of measures in the song).
Maximum polyphony produced in the output midi
file: up to 128 notes on at a time.
Maximum length of the song: about
Time signatures supported: 2/4, 3/4,
4/4, 6/8. The time signature of 2/4 is not recommended to use, please use
Key signatures supported: any key
signature with number of '#' (sharp) signs: 0, 1,... , 7; or number of 'b'
(flat) signs: 1, 2,..., 6.
Instruments supported: all 128
instruments (or environment sounds) with general midi code. Each
instrument in a style can accompany in 5 modes: Normal, Normal-Sustained,
Soft, Soft-Fantasized, Soft-Sustained.
Drum Kits supported: all drum kits
available in the sound font used. Drum in a style can accompany in 2
modes: Normal (0), Soft (1).
Quality of the instruments and drum sounds:
as supported in the sound font used. In use with recommended GM Sound Font
JnsGm.sf2, 21MB, Midi Utility produces the music with highest Audio Compact Disk music quality.
